Who we are

This website is operated by Sitelify, a UK-based digital agency. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at sales@sitelify.co.uk.

What information we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide to us. When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your business name (if provided)
  • Your message and any details you share about your project
  • The service you expressed interest in

We do not collect payment details, sensitive personal data, or any information from children under 16.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Provide you with a quote or proposal for services
  • Communicate with you about a potential or active project

We will never sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it for anything beyond the purpose for which you provided it.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, to respond to enquiries from people who have proactively contacted us about our services. Where you have given explicit consent (for example, by agreeing to receive follow-up communications), we process on the basis of consent.

How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry data for up to 12 months from the date of last contact. If we enter into a working relationship, we may retain relevant communications for up to 6 years in line with standard UK business record-keeping requirements.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing sales@sitelify.co.uk.

Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this website:

  • Netlify — our website host and form processor. Enquiry submissions are stored on Netlify's servers. Netlify is GDPR-compliant. See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, time on site, referral sources). This data is anonymised and aggregated. See Google's privacy policy.

No data is transferred outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards in place.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. When you first visit, you will be shown a cookie notice and can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies.

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the website to function. These cannot be declined.
  • Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics to measure site usage. These are only set if you accept cookies.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using your browser's privacy settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request that we delete your data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Objection — object to us processing your data on the basis of legitimate interests
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email sales@sitelify.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority.

ICO website: ico.org.uk — Helpline: 0303 123 1113

We would, however, always appreciate the opportunity to resolve any concern directly — please contact us first at sales@sitelify.co.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
